Experience
Jessica joined Franklin & Prokopik’s Newark, Delaware, office as counsel in 2026. Her practice focuses on general liability and workers’ compensation matters. With over a decade of experience across a wide range of cases, Jessica has handled all phases of litigation through trial, including depositions, document and expert discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation.
Jessica began her legal career in Maryland, where she worked on complex commercial litigation matters. After relocating to Delaware, she shifted her practice to general liability defense, handling matters involving medical malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, and trucking accident claims.
She is admitted to practice in Delaware and Maryland. Jessica earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Law, where she served as a staff editor for the Maryland Law Review. During law school, she also interned for the Honorable Mary Ellen Barbera on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.
Her diverse litigation background is complemented by her experience in another high-pressure environment: a Bronx middle school classroom. Prior to law school, Jessica completed the New York City Teaching Fellows program, teaching seventh-grade mathematics for two years in a high-need school in the Bronx while earning her master’s degree.
Activities
Jessica is a member of the Delaware and Maryland State Bar Associations. She lives in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, with her family and their rescue dog, Vana. Outside of work, she is an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys exploring new places and spending time with her family and friends.
