Mike Bennett brings over 13 years of legal experience as he first started his career in 2004 as a paralegal with a small firm in Columbia, MD. He continued working full-time while attending law school at night at the University of Baltimore, where he graduated with honors. He then worked as an associate for a large real estate firm in Bethesda where he primarily focused on creditors’ rights in bankruptcy matters and advocated on behalf of financial lenders in Chapter 7, 13, and 11 cases in the United States District Court.
Mike has litigated numerous matters at the administrative and trial court levels, and also briefed and argued matters at the Maryland appellate courts. Mike has returned several defense jury trial verdicts and victories at the appellate courts, saving his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars. He also writes for the business law and workers’ compensation newsletters.

Mike is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Bar Association, Baltimore Chapter. Mike enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and kids during his time away from work. An avid baseball and college football fan, he enjoys almost any physical outdoor activity, including hiking, fishing, and playing recreational sports. Mike also coaches his son’s t-ball team.
