Experience
Melissa joined Franklin & Prokopik’s Baltimore office as an associate attorney in 2014. She provides valuable guidance to employers and insurers regarding various aspects of workers’ compensation litigation and regularly represents these parties before the WCC and state courts. Melissa is also the editor for F&P’s workers’ compensation newsletter, First Report.
Prior to joining F&P, Melissa worked as a litigation associate for a private firm in Towson, Maryland. In this position, she primarily focused on creditor’s rights, representing financial lenders, healthcare providers, and other small businesses at the trial level throughout the state.
During law school, Melissa served as a Rule 16 Student Attorney for the Community Development Clinic and interned with the Circuit Court for Howard County as well as the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings. Melissa also served as the Manuscripts Editor for the University of Baltimore Journal of Environmental Law.
