What is your favorite aspect of working at F&P?
It sounds cliché, but the best part about my job is the group of people I work with. I’ve become friends with several of my colleagues and have made connections with clients and mentors in the legal world.
What was your first job?
My first job was as a hostess at a local restaurant called Artful Gourmet when I was in high school. I worked there on and off for several years. I met so many people and made so many incredible connections. Unfortunately, the restaurant has since closed, but I’ve maintained many of the friendships I made there.
What do you like to do outside of the office?
I love traveling, exploring new cities, and trying new restaurants. My husband and I traveled to Florence, Italy in 2024 for our honeymoon. We loved it so much that we went back in 2025. The food, wine, and atmosphere are incredible. We are currently in the process of deciding where our next travel adventures will take us.
What is your favorite food?
I’m not sure I could pick one favorite. Pasta is up there, as is anything chocolate.
What is a lesson that you have learned in the past year?
You can’t control every outcome, but you can control your preparation, strategy, and response. That’s where the real impact is. It’s easy to be discouraged with a bad outcome, but there are many things that are not within our control—such as other people’s opinions, other people’s actions, or unexpected events. Peace of mind comes from focusing on what you can control. Last year, I read “The Daily Stoic,” by Ryan Holiday, which provides one key piece of wisdom each day from philosophers. This is one of the lessons that stuck out to me.
What is your practice area, and how did you choose it?
Liability defense. I defend a wide range of cases, from slip and fall and auto tort claims to medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. When I clerked for Judge Deeley in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County after law school, I was exposed to all areas of the law—family law, criminal law, civil law, and guardianship matters. I was really intrigued by civil law and procedure and was able to watch very bright lawyers in the courtroom, including a few attorneys from F&P. I began working at F&P after my clerkship and have been here for over seven years.
Do you have any book or movie recommendations?
I prefer TV shows over movies. I’m currently watching Tell Me Lies, The Pitt, and Summer House. The Sopranos is my all-time favorite TV show.
Do you have any bizarre talents?
I can juggle. I learned in elementary school, and it has stuck with me ever since!
If you had an eighth day every week, how would you spend it?
Resting and re-charging. I love self-care, and I think there should be one day every week (or more!) dedicated to treating yourself.
