A principal with the law firm of Franklin & Prokopik, Andrew T. Stephenson is dedicated to the practice of civil litigation, with a primary focus on liability defense areas such as commercial transportation, auto tort, premises liability, products liability and intentional torts.

Mr. Stephenson regularly tries cases in the state District and Circuit Courts as well as the federal District Court of Maryland.
Education
In 1997, he graduated from law school at University College London, with an honors degree, having also studied law for a year at the University of Cologne, Germany, in 1995.

Mr. Stephenson is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and is also actively involved with the American Bar Association. He is the former Chair of the Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee which is part of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the ABA. Mr. Stephenson routinely attends and participates in the ABA’s Transportation Megaconference and he is also an active member and participant in TIDA, the Trucking Industry Defense Association; DRI, the Defense Research Institute; and USLaw. Mr. Stephenson is Associate General Counsel to the Maryland Motor Truck Association; and General Counsel to the Maryland Movers’ Council and the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Maryland.
