The candidate will be extremely organized, a self-starter, exercise discernment, think ahead, and be able to maintain composure in stressful situations. The candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in a professional law firm setting. The job description is listed below. Minimum Education Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent years of experience.
Technical Skills:
Experienced and skilled in computer systems in a windows and Microsoft-based environment.
Transcribing.
Ability to learn new software systems easily.
Communication Skills:
Demonstrated ability to articulate clearly and effectively.
Superior listening, oral and written skills.

We are looking for individuals that are service-oriented and have a sense of urgency and responsiveness, operate with integrity and honesty, display a positive, constructive, “can do” attitude, work diligently and well under deadline pressure, and project maturity and professionalism. Minimum firm hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required to achieve business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Drafting and formatting letters
Scanning and saving documents the document management system (Time Matters aka TM) in a proficient manner
Answering and directing attorneys’ phone calls
Keeping attorneys’ calendars up to date
Open and closing files
Converting documents from pdf to MS Word format
Formatting Discovery
Transcribing dictation
Filing
Receiving and sending mail
Receptionist coverage as per the rotating schedule
All other duties as assigned
