Areas of Practice
Prior to joining Franklin & Prokopik, Stephen represented clients as a Student Attorney for the Washington College of Law (WCL) Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic. Here, Stephen handled all phases of client representation from intake, to fact investigation, research, advocacy, and case resolution.
Stephen has also provided legal services for numerous clients as a Dean’s Fellow with the WCL International Human Rights Law Clinic and conducted complex legal research, analysis, and writing as a legal extern with the United States Senate. His pro bono work includes preparing tax returns for Community Tax Aid in DC and providing Hurricane Irma disaster relief legal aid in Miami, FL.
Stephen served in various leadership roles while in law school, including as European Law Association Vice President, Human Rights Brief Year in Review and Newsletter Senior Editor, Tax Law Society Public Relations Officer, and as Action for Human Rights Community Outreach Chair.

Stephen is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, chess, and music, and also, enjoys ballroom and social dancing.
