Experience
Rachel Gebhart serves as counsel in Franklin & Prokopik’s workers’ compensation group. She represents Employers and Insurers throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C., and regularly appears before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission. However, her favorite part of her practice is trying workers’ compensation appeals before juries in Maryland’s Circuit Courts.
Rachel is a lifelong resident of Maryland. She graduated from Salisbury University with honors and then attended the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, from which she also graduated with honors. She is a former Rose Zetzer Fellow in UMD Law’s Women, Leadership, and Equality Program and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of female attorneys. Rachel has served on the Executive Board of Maryland Defense Counsel since 2023 and is the 2026-2027 MDC President.
Activities
In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, volunteering at her daughter’s school, and hanging out with her dog, Bruno.
