Miranda Russell is an experienced civil litigator, having tried jury and bench trials at the state and federal levels. She also maintains an active insurance coverage practice and advising businesses, small and large alike, on regulatory compliance. Miranda is also a contributor to F&P liability insights and blog articles.

Prior to joining Franklin & Prokopik, Miranda worked in the Office of General Counsel for Catholic Relief Services – United States Conference of Catholic Bishops at the agency’s headquarters in Baltimore. She assisted in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating large agency grants and awards while also serving as the agency’s sole OFAC sanctions and BIS expert controls specialist.

During law school, Miranda completed a legal internship at the U.S. District Court of Maryland, Southern Division, for Senior District Judge Peter J. Messitte.

Miranda is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association. Miranda is native to St. Mary’s County, Maryland, and gets home as much as possible to spend time on the water.  She also enjoys being outside in general and reading.
