Experience

Donald P. Dorenkamp II is an experienced litigation attorney with nearly a decade of practice representing both plaintiffs and corporate defendants. He has handled a wide range of civil matters, including asbestos claims, construction disputes, corporate liability, insurance defense for motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation claims, property defense, hurricane claims under the Louisiana Insurance Guaranty Association, and class action litigation.

Donald began his defense practice in New Orleans, LA, where he managed a high volume of cases and handled all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial preparation. Drawing on his seven years of prior plaintiff’s work, he developed a negotiation style that consistently produced cost-effective and efficient settlements. His experience also includes work on significant class actions, such as liability allocation in the Hard Rock Hotel collapse and asbestos regulatory claims involving Dow Chemical Plants in Southeast Louisiana.

Beyond litigation, Donald has advised clients on compliance issues under Title VII, Title IX, ADA, and EEOC matters. He has also guided entrepreneurs in business formation, operating agreements, risk management, and regulatory compliance, as well as overseen the creation of trusts and investment vehicles in accordance with state and federal law.

Donald earned his J.D. with a Certificate in Health Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and his B.S. in Political Science and Psychology from Florida State University. He is admitted to all Louisiana State Courts, the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana, and is awaiting approval from the Maryland Bar.
